Baalbaki Chemical Industries celebrated the launch of its new polyesters and pre-polymers manufacturing facility in the Hamriyah Free Zone in the UAE on November 24th 2015. This new facility adds 40,000 Mt of aromatic/aliphatic polyester polyols and isocayanate pre-polymer capacity to BCI’s already installed capacities. With this, the Group has expanded its reach to follow its mission to become the EMEA’s preferred supplier of Polyurethanes raw materials.
The event witnessed the inauguration of the plant in the presence of 220 distinguished guests from 20 countries including our key customers, Hamriyah Free Zone authority executives and our main suppliers.
A ribbon cutting ceremony at the manufacturing facility allowed the guests a plant tour around the recently completed facility led by the group’s senior managers presenting the different operation sections of the factory including the production facilities, the state of the art lab and the warehouses. The tour was followed by a cocktail reception at the pleasantly decorated BCI premises. The event was succeeded by a corporate dinner at the Park Hyatt hotel in Dubai which featured performances by a local Jazz artist. The dinner consisted of several speeches by Dr. Ihsan Baalbaki, Baalbaki Group’s chairman, Hassan Baalbaki BCI Holding’s chairman, Mr. Frank Hesske previous advisor at Baalbaki group and ambassador to the European Union and head of mission in Korea. The speeches mainly addressed the history of the Baalbaki family, BCI UAE's plant capacity and the unveiling of the company’s future expansion plans.
